  Here is our new dog Bella, adopted in July 2009. She is pure joy and energy! |
| Here are a few pictures of my children (when they were much younger) and some of my animals. If you have any of my picture books some of them may be familiar. You might notice a brown dog in many of the pictures. That dog is Scout, my beloved lab-shepherd mix who lived to be fifteen years old. Now I have a new brown dog, Jenny, who also shows up in my drawings. Jenny and Scout both posed for me when I drew the baker-dog in SUN BREAD. My lovely cats, Luna and Chihiro, also appear in many of my pictures. Besides being wonderful models, my animal friends are great company while I work. | ||
